Exclamation Add new Hero-AI behaviors: 'Egoistic' and 'Semi-Egoistic' - Take a look inside!

'Egoistic' (need a better name): "I will chose and change targets myself of any attacking or beeing attacked group. I won't react on calls."

This can be compared with AI behavior when you are NOT attacking or calling anyone. They chose targets themself. Mesmers can interrupt different mobs for example. On a call they won't do anything different. I'd love to see this for mesmer heroes.

At the moment, when you are attacking, heroes/henches won't interrupt other mobs. That's one reason why we really need this change.

'Semi-Egoistic' (need a better name): "I will chose and change targets myself of any attacking or beeing attacked group. On a call I will change my target to the called foe."

This one would really be great. Only if you want to, they would concentrate on a called object.

Imagine the benefits of these behaviors... *dreaming*. You could still use "Fight", "Guard" and "Avoid Combat" if you don't like these additions.

Only if I can have Koss shout out:
"Shut your pie-whole, I'll hit who I please!"

And other such quips.

Some more posts would be nice.

To see my ele hero casting meteor shower on targets with more than 1 hp left, would also be great.

I enjoyed having a few sliders for AI control in Dungeon Siege (or was it DS2?). Any sort of AI control is sweet, especially those that can be set ahead of combat, or easy to use during combat.

Can't this just replace 'Agressive?' I mean who the hell actually has them set to Leeroy ever?

When I PvE, I want my heroes to act like their professions are built, not like mindless zombies that do this or that, but not both, and always when I tell them to, never on their own. There's no need for my Norgu to be staring at a Warrior when there is a Monk boss right beside him that he could very well be shutting down...

But alas, GW AI never has been anything to brag about.

Leyen of Mana's IA grid would be way better...

Left<>Righ could be offense/defense, with 5 levels (auto, attack, defend other, defend self, avoid)
Up<>Down could be the basic distance the hero can maintain from you (adjacent, nearby, in the area, earshot, free)

These modes are default for PUGs. They just can't be turned off.

I could see Norgu saying "hey i'm eating here. geesh"

But the AI being smarter is always good.
